On March 19, the State Post Bureau announced on its website that certain Yunda Express franchisees had significant security management loopholes with their contractual customers, allowing fraudulent promotional materials to enter the delivery network and causing substantial financial losses to victims. Shanghai Yunda Freight Co., Ltd. failed to properly manage its franchisees and did not implement the required unified security management measures, prompting the State Post Bureau to launch an investigation into the company.
On March 20, Yunda Holding Group Co., Ltd. issued a statement titled “Announcement on Investigation Due to Franchise Outlet’s Violation of Shipping Regulations.”
The announcement stated that Yunda’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanghai Yunda Freight Co., Ltd., received a notice from the regulatory authorities on March 19, 2025, regarding the investigation.
Upon receiving the notice, the company took the matter seriously and established a special task force to conduct an internal investigation. In response to the management issues found in its franchise network’s delivery services, the company has promptly launched rectification efforts, requiring improvements to service procedures and management systems while actively cooperating with the regulatory authorities’ investigation. The company pledged to carry out corrections strictly in accordance with regulatory requirements. Moving forward, Yunda will strengthen its management and oversight of franchise outlets, optimize the parcel inspection process, increase training for franchisees, and enhance their ability to identify disguised items, ensuring such incidents do not happen again.
The announcement also noted that as of now, the company’s operations remain normal, and the delivery service network is running smoothly.
